The Taming of the Shrew

The Taming of the Shrew

Kate, a strong willed woman, rejects societal expectations. When her sister is wooed by three men of varying suitability, Kate must marry Petruchio, a controlling man set on changing her.

FHTC brings a refreshing new take on one of Shakespeare’s most incontrovertible classics! Taming of the Shrew is a sharp comedy examining marriage, family, and power dynamics between genders, with Foot of the Hill bringing a modern twist that asks audiences to consider how far we have come from the seventeenth century world Shakespeare inhabited, and how far we have yet to go.
