'Sick Dog' and 'I CAN'T STOP THE LONELINESS'

'Sick Dog' and 'I CAN'T STOP THE LONELINESS'

Fourthwall and Rocket Theatre are thrilled to announce their double bill showcase of Sick Dog (Fourthwall) and I CANT STOP THE LONELINESS (Rocket Theatre), written by Maariya Khalid and Horatio Holloway respectively.

Sick Dog follows Winnie, who is dying - despondent, miserable and fed up. Although she has isolated herself from her friends and family, she is not quite alone. Eliza is the new top-model AI companion-carer, who looks after Winnie in her sickness. This play is an exploration of what it means to connect, and as Eliza begins to develop feelings for Winnie, asks whether human relationships can be simulated by AI.

I CANT STOP THE LONELINESS follows Isao Takahata, a Japanese salary man and Henry Curtis; an up-and-coming British consultant, bridled with an addiction to self-harm that’s putting his life at risk. After a shocking incident traps the two of them in a Karaoke room, confusions emerge and secrets slip to the popping tunes of 1980s Tokyo.
