Poetry Club

Poetry Club

Poetry Club is a new play by Ruby Huynh, on tour in County Durham following an award-winning run at Durham Drama Festival.

Martin hopes his new club will bring together people who are passionate about poetry. When the only attendees are a handful of misfits, Martin is forced to lower his expectations. Presented with a poem by a mystery author, the members struggle to understand the poetry, as well as each other. A play about community and belonging, Poetry Club follows the first meeting of Martin's dysfunctional poetry club as they navigate first impressions, grief, and occasionally, poetry.

This production takes place at the St Oswald's Institute, Church St, Durham.
