The Single Lady/ Recorded

A brand-new, student-written musical focusing on the infamous love triangle between Elizabeth I, her cousin Lettice Knollys and Robert Dudley.

As the daughter of Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth knows how much love can go wrong, but when she is seduced by courtier Dudley, History asks her one question: how far must a woman go to win at a man's game? Written by Will Geraint Drake and Lauren Brewer, 'The Single Lady' offers a glimpse into the sacrifice and personal cost to be a female leader in a man's world. Perhaps the “Virgin Queen” really isn’t all she seems in the history books...

War is Peace! Freedom is Slavery! Ignorance is Strength! 1984 is a dystopian tale based around Winston Smith, an unimportant member of the oppressive party 'Ingsoc'.

This show takes place in Winston’s cell in the ‘Ministry of Truth’, and centres around his interrogation by O’Brien, on suspicion of ‘Thought Crime’ against the Party and Big Brother. The ensemble is on stage for the entirety of the show and tell Winston’s story through a series of re-enactments. All ensemble roles are multi-rolled and strong, versatile actors have been cast to bring this production to life.

Macbeth/ Pre-recorded

Macbeth/ Pre-recorded

A court of all-female leads. Three male witches who look more like traders and journalists than hags on a moor. How much can we trust what we’re told to believe?

‘Treasons capital, confessed and proved.’ ‘Macbeth’ is a play about what happens offstage. This filmed adaptation asks us to examine how much we can trust what is being reported when we are kept at an arm’s length from the real action. Words fail to describe the unnameable as the cycle of violence repeats before our very eyes. It is hard to believe that you have all the power when everyone is lying to you.
