A Classic of Spanish theatre is transported to 1970s Ireland, where Bernada Alba, a Spanish immigrant, attempts to keep her 5 daughters away from a certain man who threatens everything...
After the death of her husband, Bernarda Alba enforces an eight-year mourning period upon her five daughters. As the riots and shootings of 1970s Belfast explode just outside, tensions erupt in the house, as the daughters discover they are all in love with the same man, who is engaged to the eldest daughter, Angustias… The desire for freedom overpowers familial loyalties, and the maddening screams of a figure locked away in the cellar become the voice of reason in the house. One fateful night, the youngest daughter, Adela, has to discover the consequences of her nightly meetings with Angustias’ fiancé.
