Eugene Onegin, originally set in 1820s St Petersburg and its surrounding countryside, follows the story of a selfish hero who lives to regret his rejection of a young woman’s love and his careless incitement of a fatal duel with his best friend. Adopted from Pushkin's novel-in-verse, this Tchaikovsky masterpiece (in translation) is a stunning example of lyric opera.
It's 1959, and the T-Birds and Pink Ladies are ready for their senior year at Rydell High School.
