Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee

George and Martha’s sadistic game-playing and vitriolic verbal scrapping reaches its climax in a momentous revelation.

Albee’s play examines the complexities of the marriage of a middle-aged couple, Martha and George. Late one evening, after a university faculty party, they receive an unwitting younger couple, Nick and Honey, as guests, and draw them into their bitter and frustrated relationship. Set in 1960s New England, the play delves into George and Martha’s ‘games’ and the fantasies that they hide themselves in.
