Pink Mist is a contemporary verse-drama about coming home. Arthur, Hads and Taff, three teenagers from Bristol, leave the monotony of their civilian lives behind for the camaraderie and purpose of the army. After one tour of Afghanistan they return as changed men, and it falls to the women in their lives – ‘Britain’s true conscripts’ – to pick up the pieces. For Lisa, Gwen and Kate, it soon becomes apparent that their tour has only just begun.

Durham Opera Ensemble returns to the Gala performing Strauss classic operetta 'Die Fledermaus'. When Dr Falke enlists his friends and acquaintances to play a prank on his friend Gabriel Eisenstein, a night of wine, forbidden love and mistaken identity ensues. Suitable for all ages, 'Die Fledermaus' is a light-hearted farcical comedy, and a fantastic way to introduce new theatre-goers to opera.
